We’re a social project developer driven by shared value and Filipino principle of
kapwa
The Philippines is home for our team, families, friends and many of our fondest memories. It is also of tremendous importance to the future of our planet and among the most vulnerable countries to climate change and deforestation.

FOR PEOPLE AND PLANET
Change is hard, but by working together with like-minded individuals, we’re able to do something greater than what we could have achieved alone. Even though we set our sights high, we believe that even if we make a difference for just one person, it is a meaningful achievement that drives us forward.
We are Kapwa
Kapwa, a deeply rooted Filipino value and the core DNA of Nayon, embodies togetherness, shared identity, and interconnectedness. In the Philippines, where community is central to daily life, Kapwa is essential in addressing challenges and achieving collective goals. Change does not happen in isolation—it thrives with connection.

nature is our wealth
...we asked a Manobo
Datu
what he would like us to share with others. His response translated to, "nature is our wealth," revealing the profound connection between people, traditions, and the environment. This wisdom has become a cornerstone of our identity, guiding our commitment to honor and preserve the natural wealth of the communities we serve.
Our Brand Identity
During the day, it’s a place to sit and gather; during the nighttime, it’s a place to sleep and dream. Featuring geometric patterns that vary across the country, banigs and their designs have been handed down through generations of Filipinos.
These patterns that you see across our brand identity are inspired by the banig designs which represent a common thread amongst all those who support and work with Nayon across the Philippines.

OUR APPROACH
Communities and the environment are inextricably linked—they succeed or fail together. To support one, we must consider and benefit the other to create sustainable, long-term solutions. Our community-centric approach acknowledges this balance by leveraging environmental projects to create shared benefits for the communities that support them.
Our environmental projects are designed with a dual purpose: to restore and protect the natural world and improve the lives of those most vulnerable to climate change through co-benefits and shared value. Our projects—such as clean cooking, soil revitalization, and waste management—address critical environmental challenges while enhancing livelihoods through improved health, well-being, education and economic stability.
Through programs that address critical needs—such as education, skills development, and livelihood initiatives—we empower individuals to create self-sustaining cycles of opportunity. By linking better livelihoods to the health of their environment, we strengthen the bond between communities and nature, creating a foundation for shared responsibility and prosperity.

SHARED VALUE
Our ability to scale and amplify the impact of our projects is made possible through working with responsible organizations and carbon finance. These partnerships and access to carbon markets provide us with the resources, expertise, and networks to develop social projects in areas that otherwise would not be possible. The shared value created unlocks opportunities to develop solutions to social problems that reinforce the impact and success of our environmental projects.
STORIES OF IMPACT
Meet Renz Ladroma, Nayon Co-founder
From a rural childhood spent cooking with firewood to co-founding a social enterprise focused on climate and community, Renz Ladroma’s journey is one of resilience, reinvention, and purpose. This is the story behind Nayon—and how one woman turned challenges into a movement for sustainable change.

OUR TEAM
Most of our team grew up in rural communities that profoundly shaped who they are today. Experiencing few opportunities growing up, they worked hard to forge their path. Today, they return to these communities with knowledge and experience to make a difference for their fellow Filipinos.

Advocate Leaders are the backbone of our community-driven approach—emerging from within the program, they take on greater responsibility in training, guiding, and mobilizing advocates to drive impact.

It takes a village
We would not be who we are without our Advocates. Through them, we are able to empower the people and communities that we serve.
We love forging new partnerships. If you’re interested in learning more about our projects, supporting our mission by purchasing carbon credits or exploring collaboration opportunities, we want to hear from you.
